The Yard opened its doors in 2012 and was developed in coordination with local Community Baseball Associations (GBA, GYB, KWBA, NTF, and WBA) to provide for their fall, winter and spring baseball programming needs. The space was configured to enable private lessons, team practices, and clinics covering pitching, hitting, catching and fielding. 

In 2022, The Yard expanded its operations into Northbrook at the request of current and new Community Baseball Associations. This new state of the art facility builds upon The Yard's foundation of providing premier space for clinics, lessons, memberships, parties as well as teams to run practices throughout the year.
